Day 1, Cuiabá to Porto Jofre
Rendezvous at the hotel or airport (CGB) in Cuiabá city and head towards the Porto Jofre. Start by driving 100km to Poconé, before continuing a further 150km through Transpantaneira to our lodge located on the banks of the mighty Cuiabá River. This dirt road transects the northern Pantanal and offers great chances for watching and photographing the abundant fauna of the region. Stop for all kind of wildlife along the way. (L, D)
Days 2, 3 & 4 River Cruising
Early start to witness the awakening of the Pantanal. After breakfast we go on our first jaguar safari in the Meeting of the Waters State Park. Located in a convergence area of large rivers and preserved woods, this area is considered today the best place on the planet to observe jaguars in their natural habitat. Our safaris are operated on a motor boat, equipped with radio and helmed by expert guides specialized in tracking these big cats.
We have three full days devoted to explore the Cuiabá river and its tributaries in search of jaguars. During excursions, you will also encounter other interesting wildlife. Watch for Giant River Otters, Caimans, Howler Monkeys, Capybaras, Tapirs, Anacondas, and many bird species. Our jaguar safaris will be always a full day, from sunrise to sunset in the boat, with a stop for lunch and break at the hotel. The exact lengths of the outings will, of course, vary depending on the sightings and weather conditions, and you should be prepared to be flexible with the timetable. (B ,L, D)
Day 5, Final day
Breakfast and transfer back to Cuiaba, where the trip ends around 2pm. (B)

Round-trip private transport, using a 4wd truck (1 - 3 pax), or Mercedes Sprinter van (4 - 8 pax); Accommodation in private room with full board (dinner, breakfast and lunch), while in the Pantanal; All activities mentioned in the itinerary; English/Portuguese speaking guide accompanying you during all tour.
PRICE
Our prices are fixed in the Brazilian Reais (R$/BLR), and the cost in other currencies will be adjusted according to prevailing exchange rates at the time of final invoicing.
RESERVATION & CONFIRMATION
All reservations shall be made in writing via our official email addresses info@northpantanal.com. The booking requests will be handled/replied within 24 hours. We will inform you in case we are unable to process your requests by the specified time frame.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
Once your itinerary is settled, an payment invoice will be sent to you, with the booking instructions. Reservations are made under 50% credit card down payment (non-refundable), and the balance of total amount should be paid by credit card 30 days prior to arrival, or cash (USD/BRL) at the beginning of the tour in Cuiabá.
