With more than 800 meters altitude, the St. Jerome Table Mountain is the highest point of Chapada dos Guimarães National Park. In order to visit this attraction, we must walk 17km (round-trip) for approximately 7 hours, through ascents and descents trails, ending with some climbing stretches in order to reach the peak. Although it is no easy task, if performed correctly and following the instructions of the guide, the way up to summit poses no major risks, but it requires a good physical conditioning of the visitor.

Also known as Caminho dos Bororós, the 7 km trail explores the caves Kiogo Brado, Aroe Jari and Pobe Jari with a visit to contemplate Gruta da Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon Grotto) and the Mirante do Centro Geodésico da América do Sul (Observatory of the Geodesic Center of South America). We end the tour with a refreshing bath in the Almiscar Waterfall. This is an activity of moderate degree lasting approximately 6 hours.

The whole tour holds 7 beautiful waterfalls: Sonrisal, Pulo, Degraus, Prainha, Andorinhas, Piscinas Naturais and Véu de Noiva. All of them enables bath, except Véu de Noiva, where it is only allowed to contemplate and take photos of the 79m cascade. This hiking lasts approximately 6 hours, including stops for swimming.

The adventure in Vale do Rio Claro includes walks in natural areas with a widely diversified vegetation, a way up to Crista de Galo (Rooster’s Crest), which allows a 360° viewing of the sandstone walls and a swim in the crystalline waters of Claro river. Considering the conditions of the internal roads of the National Park, the majority of this tour is done by means of 4WD vehicles. This is an activity of light/moderate degree lasting approximately 5 hours.

On this 2-days tour, we trek 20km in order to explore the most remote areas of Chapada dos Guimarães National Park. The path is filled with outstanding sceneries to be engraved in your memory. We will visit the St. Jerome Table Mountain, 7th of September Waterfall, the Morraria region, and the Stone House. During the summer months another two waterfalls are formed along of Morraria. We stay overnight at Casa do Morro - a rustic wooden house, where we able to assemble tents and make a camp fire with total safety.

The name of this attraction is due to the rock formations found in the site. After a short walk of 300 meters, the visitor get on edge of the plateau, from where it is possible to contemplate a magnificent view of enormous ravines. Down there, it is possible to see the contrast between water springs and the Cerrado (Brazilian Savanna). It is common to sight flocks of Red-and-green Macaws flying near the cliffs. During the first hours of the day, pumas and tapirs footprints are still fresh along the way. Birds such as the burrowing-owl and Red-legged Seriema are also found in the upland savannas. Access to the Stone City is done driving 4WD vehicles for approximately 30 km from Chapada town. This tour usually lasts 3 hours.
